Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07-02
1. Acceptance of terms
By using AI Disclosure Generator (the "Tool"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Tool.
2. Nature of the Tool — informational purposes only
The Tool is provided for informational purposes only. It is designed to help creators, marketers, and businesses draft AI-content disclosures based on a general reading of applicable laws and platform policies. It does not:
- Constitute legal advice or legal services
- Establish an attorney-client relationship
- Guarantee compliance with any law, regulation, or platform policy
- Cover all jurisdictions, edge cases, or rapidly changing rules
Always verify disclosures with a qualified legal professional before relying on them for important decisions.
3. No warranty ("as is")
This Tool is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
Laws, regulations, and platform policies change frequently. We make reasonable efforts to keep the rule database current (see "Rules last reviewed" date in the footer), but we cannot guarantee that the information is up to date at the time you use the Tool.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, this Tool — including but not limited to regulatory fines, enforcement actions, platform penalties, or business losses — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
5. Accuracy and currency of information
The rule database was last reviewed on 2026-07-02. We strive to reflect the most current reading of:
- EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Article 50, applying from August 2, 2026
- FTC endorsement guides and 16 CFR Part 465 (Consumer Review Fairness Rule)
- YouTube, TikTok, Meta (Instagram/Facebook), and X platform policies
- UK ASA advertising standards
We recommend re-checking official sources before publishing important content, particularly as the EU AI Act's transitional period ends on December 2, 2026.
6. Pro plan — purchase terms
Pro features are unlocked via a one-time purchase processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy's terms of service and refund policies apply to that transaction. We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your payment information.
Pro status is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data will
remove the Pro flag. In that case, contact us at the email below with your Lemon Squeezy order confirmation
and we will provide re-access instructions.
7. Intellectual property
The disclosure template texts generated by this Tool are provided for your use free of restriction — you may use, adapt, and publish them without attribution. The Tool's code, design, and surrounding content are owned by the operator and may not be reproduced or resold without permission.
8. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Tool to:
- Generate disclosures for content that is itself illegal
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-made after receiving advice not to
- Scrape, reproduce, or resell the Tool's content or rule database commercially
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Japan, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
